Hymn For Her have been touring across the country and abroad for years, spreading their juiced-up, down-home roots rock and roll. From ruckus outlaw to country folk, their sound shakes your bones and soothes your soul—injecting backwoods country blues with a dose of Americana that has been described as “Hell’s Angels meets the Amish” and “hillbillies with electronics opening Pandora’s Box.”
Hymn For Her spent winter 2026 tucked into a Maine cabin, drawing from an overflowing well of new songs and capturing videos live by the fireside. (check out their Instagram)
Recording begins this summer between road trips throughout the Northeast and Midwest.
Hymn For Her is Lucy & Wayne—a duo known for raw, road-tested performances that move easily between ruckus outlaw energy and stripped-down country folk.
Their catalog has been built the same way they live—independent and in motion.
From Year of the Golden Pig (recorded in their bedroom and mixed by Phil Nicolo in Philadelphia) to Lucy & Wayne & The amAirican Stream (recorded in their Airstream on a U.S. coast-to-coast run and mixed by Jim Diamond at Ghetto Recorders in Detroit), to later recordings with Vance Powell and Mitch Easter, the thread has remained DIY at its core, with a wide sonic reach.
Drive Til U Die was split between Nashville with Vance Powell and North Carolina with Mitch Easter.
Pop-N-Downers, recorded at Sputnik Studio with Powell and Mike Fahey, brought wider attention, with coverage in Rolling Stone and a slot at Glastonbury Festival.
Over time, their daughter Diver—raised on the road—began stepping onstage, later contributing more fully on piano and vocals. That evolution led to the 2024 release Bloodier Than Blood, recorded in their “Bambi Airstream Studios” in Florida. Neighbor Bud Snyder contributed to the mixing of select tracks, while Mike Fahey mixed the bulk of the record at Starbird Sound in Nashville.
